Areas of Focus
Will Hausman focuses his practice exclusively on brand protection litigation, with an emphasis on trademark and copyright enforcement for e-commerce businesses, creators, and other brand owners. He represents clients in disputes involving infringement and unauthorized use of intellectual property, developing litigation and enforcement strategies aimed at stopping harmful conduct and protecting brand value. Will is particularly interested in the intersection of technology, innovation, and law, and helps clients address the evolving challenges of protecting their brands in the digital marketplace.
Experience
Will began his legal career as a Legal Intern working with startup companies to develop marketing strategies for their IP. He then transitioned to a Law Clerk position focusing on intellectual property litigation and enforcement. Will earned his J.D. from Chicago-Kent School of Law, with a certificate in intellectual property law, and two CALI Excellence Awards. He also served on Chicago-Kent's team for the Lefkowitz Moot Court Competition, and as a Notes and Comments Editor of the Chicago-Kent Law Review.
Prior to attending law school, Will worked as a Lab Technician at Creighton University performing research specializing in the prevention and restoration of hearing loss. Will's time at Creighton sparked an interest in patent law which inspired him to attend law school. Will received his B.S. in Biochemistry and Philosophy from Rockhurst University.
Personal Touch
Will grew up a playing soccer and is a lifelong Chelsea fan. When not advocating for his clients, he enjoys playing pickup soccer and watching Chelsea matches with his father and brother.
